JOIN: Design Seattle promotes emerging independent American design by providing designers
a forum to show work, get feedback, and share resources. By organizing design shows and events and by hosting an online design event calendar and blog, we strive to be the adhesive and a resource that binds a thriving, but fragmented, furniture and product design community in Seattle.
WHAT WE DO NOW:
WHAT WE'D ALSO LIKE TO DO:
Provide affordable opportunities/resources to show at ICFF, NYIGF, Design Miami, and Milan.
HISTORY:
We began in August 2008 with our first small show at the now defunct McLeod Residence and we are currently planning our next events. We grew from a desire to bring together the independent designers working in the Seattle area and we've grown to promoting emerging independent American design.
Basically when it comes down to it, we want to inspire, motivate and connect. Please JOIN us.
Co-Founders
Jamie Iacoli & Brian McAllister
Iacoli & McAllister is a Seattle based design studio founded in 2008 by Jamie Iacoli and Brian McAllister specializing in furniture, lighting, household products, and wearables. Their process is one part exploration, one part learning curve, one part affection, one part sheer strife, and one part caffeine.
Co-Organizers
Dylan Davis & Jean Lee
Ladies & Gentlemen: L&G began in 2008 from Jean + Dylan's affinity for collecting vintage objects with character, charm, warmth, color, and history. They seek to celebrate these objects and rituals by elevating their perceived value. Their studio pursues this idea in multiple mediums including original designs repurposing vintage objects, a blog, an online vintage store, and more.
